BEGINNER-LEVEL POTTERY WORKSHOP-
Unlock Your Creativity with Clay !

Start your pottery journey in the new year with our Beginner-Level Pottery Workshop at Sree Studio. Whether you’ve never touched clay before or want to refresh your skills, this workshop is the perfect introduction to ceramics. Over the course of 6 weeks, you'll learn the basics of pottery in a hands-on, supportive, and creative environment. This course is designed to help you develop essential skills while creating your very own functional and decorative pottery pieces.

In this 6-week beginner workshop, you will learn:

  • Working with Clay: An overview of the ceramic process and basic clay handling.
  • Wheel Throwing Fundamentals: Introduction to the pottery wheel and essential techniques.
  • Wedge Your Clay: Learn to wedge 400-500g of clay to remove air bubbles and ensure consistency.
  • Centering the Clay: Master the key skill of centering clay on the wheel for even, balanced pieces.
  • Shaping Simple Cylinders: Learn to pull and shape clay into basic cylinders, the foundation for mugs, cups, and vases.
  • Pull & Attach Handles: Learn the techniques for pulling handles and properly attaching them to your pieces.
  • Surface Decoration: Explore various methods of adding texture, carving, or glazing to personalize your pottery.

By the end of the course, you will have created a small collection of pottery pieces to take home.

Eligibility: No prior experience required (perfect for beginners).

Inclusions:

  • Basic pottery kit and apron (yours to keep)
  • Clay usage at the studio
  • Access to studio equipment: Electric wheel, hand-building tools, sculpting tools, etc.
  • Firing and glazing for up to 5 pieces made during class (glaze colors selected by the studio based on availability)
  • Unlimited open studio hours for practice during the course duration

Course Duration: 6 Weeks (12 sessions)

  • Frequency: 2 sessions per week
  • Duration per session: 2 hours
  • Weekday Batch- Monday -Friday- 11:00am-1:00pm
  • Weekend Batch-Saturday-Sunday- 12pm-2pm,3pm-5pm

Course Fees: ₹15,000 (inclusive of basic tool set, apron, open studio usage, and firing of pieces)

Terms & Conditions:

  • Missing Class: You may miss up to two classes during the course. Make-up sessions for a maximum of two missed classes will be available on specified dates.
  • Refunds: There are no refunds for missed classes or cancellations after the course has started.
  • Transferability: The seat can be transferred to a friend or family member only before the class begins. No exceptions.

 

 

ONE-DAY POTTERY WORKSHOP
Fun and Creative Clay Experience for Kids/ Couples/Individual
Duration: 2-2.5 hours

Looking for a fun and unique experience for your kids or as a couple? Our One-Day Pottery Workshop is the perfect introduction to ceramics, offering a hands-on pottery wheel experience and a chance to create personalized pottery pieces. This 2-2.5 hour session is designed for beginners and allows you to immerse yourself in the world of clay while crafting memorable keepsakes.

In this 2-2.5 hour workshop, you will:

  • Introduction to Pottery Wheel: Learn the basics of using a pottery wheel (perfect for both kids and couples), where you’ll get a hands-on experience of shaping clay into your own unique pieces.
  • Creating Your Piece: Choose from simple projects, such as small bowls, cups, or decorative items. Children can create fun, small sculptures or simple bowls, while couples can work together to create matching pieces or collaborative pottery.
  • Basic Shaping & Sculpting: Get guidance on shaping and sculpting your piece by hand and on the wheel.
  • Surface Decoration: Add your personal touch with fun surface decoration techniques, such as stamping, carving, and more.
  • Take-Home Memory: At the end of the session, you’ll leave with a piece you’ve crafted. Your creation will be fired and glazed by the studio, and you can collect it after a few weeks as a cherished memory.

Eligibility:

  • Kids: Ideal for children aged 6 and above (with parental supervision).
  • Couples: Perfect for couples looking to share a creative and fun experience.

Inclusions:

  • All materials needed for your project (clay, tools, aprons)
  • Pottery wheel experience for all participants
  • Personal guidance from the instructor to help you craft your pottery piece
  • Firing and glazing of your piece (to be collected after a few weeks)

Workshop Duration:

  • 2-2.5 hours
  • Flexible scheduling (choose your preferred date and time)

Workshop Fees: ₹1200 per person for kids & ₹1500 per person for Adults (inclusive of all materials, tools, pottery wheel experience, firing, and glazing)

Terms & Conditions:

  • Age Limit for Kids: Recommended for children 6 years and older (with parental supervision).
  • Cancellation: Please notify us at least 48 hours in advance for cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Refund Policy: Non-refundable after booking confirmation.
  • Collection: The fired and glazed piece will be ready for pick-up from the studio after a few weeks.
  • Transferability: Seats can be transferred to another person before the workshop begins (subject to availability).
